The Pasqual Maragall Foundation is determined to prevent Alzheimer’s disease (AD) through research in science of health and innovation. One of the focuses in their research is the measurement of blood factors in aging, since it is one of the main risk factors for AD is aging, within a large group of volunteers, including healthy individuals in asymptomatic stages of AD. Therefore, their aim is to study whether the levels of the pro-ageing and pro-youthful blood factors are associated with cognition and brain structure (assessed with brain scans).
