The aim of the company is to have an impact on three social issues that are relevant nowadays: food waste; the lack of access to safe, healthy, and nutritious food in groups at risk of social exclusion; and the lack of opportunities for these groups. Espigoladors is a non-profit organization that fights against food waste while empowering people at risk of social exclusion in a transformative and sustainable manner. Gleannings with volunteers to collect imperfect food directly from the field that cannot be sold and donate it to charity through social entities is one of their main activities.
